研究期間:10108~10207;For better understanding of the imbalance dynamics in the air freight traffic, this research project will apply advanced econometric modeling approaches to analyze the inward freight and outward freight of main cargo airports worldwide. The properties of stationarity and integration order of freight data will be evaluated first by the approach of unit root test. To modeling the equilibriums and dynamics of air freight traffic, a vector error correction model of inward/outward freight will be constructed for each pair of investigated airports. Two freight processes are believed to be in a long-run equilibrium relationship if they move together closely over time. Meanwhile, short-run dynamics indicate the tendency between two processes that does not grow systematically over time. This project will provide the findings of long-run equilibriums and short-run dynamics for paired air freight processes, which can help airport administration to develop long-term strategic plans and to understand the immediate impact between airports’ freight traffic. Finally, this study will adopt the approach of Granger causality to evaluate whether the causality relationships of inward/outward freight are significant between airports in their long-run equilibriums or short-run dynamics. This information can help airport authority to prioritize their strategic plans against their competitive airports.
