;This paper mainly examines the relationship between female chief executive officers (CEOs) and climate change. Does gender difference play a role for their climate related decision making? Will female CEOs pay more attention to climate related issues? I thus explore whether female CEOs actually pay attention to climate change-related issues, risks, and opportunities. Moreover, extend the discussion on the choice of partners for female CEOs. Will there choose fewer climate change risk partners for cooperation? In addition, this paper studies the relationship between female CEOs′ cash holdings and concerns about climate change issues and whether companies have a precautionary motivation to hoard cash when faced with uncertainty. The empirical results show that female CEOs pay more attention to the issue of climate change, and female CEOs will hold more cash to deal with risks when facing uncertain risks in the future. The female CEOs will choose a partner with a lower risk of climate change regulations as a partner.
