Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) is a widely recognized proactive risk assessment technique commonly used in new product development. It follows a structured, bottom-up analysis approach. This study aims to explore how a company can utilize the FMEA model in the process of new product development. By learning from past failure cases and customer complaints, the company can apply FMEA to enhance the product′s quality and strengthen its market competitiveness. Additionally, this research will focus on monitoring product quality throughout the development and production stages and identifying factors to further improve product quality to meet customer expectations. The study′s findings suggest improvement recommendations for the case company′s implementation of FMEA, and it emphasizes the consideration of human factors engineering failures in the development process to enhance the product′s quality and increase its competitiveness in the market.
