    Title: 探討多媒體說故事對英語學習之影響;Effect of Multimedia Storytelling on Improving English Learning

    Abstract: 教育部的九年一貫課程綱要中強調國民中小學的英語課程目標為「培養學生基本的英語溝通能力,俾能運用於實際情境中」,改變以往以升學為目標的教學。然而在台灣,英語是外來語言,因此缺乏接觸英語的環境,國小班級人數亦偏多,教師想加強學生口說練習,卻往往心有餘而力不足。故本研究建置一個輔助國小英語口語練習的學習系統,運用多媒體與動畫,設計兩種說故事的教學活動-單向說故事與互動說故事,提供學習者練習英語口說的機會,並希望能透過製作動畫提升學生之學習動機與興趣。 本研究之實驗以兩個國小六年級班級為研究對象,分別為實驗組和控制組,以問卷調查方式與系統數據進行統計分析。結果發現,「單向說」會顯著影響學習成效,因為是經過個人思考、反芻,所以印象較為深刻;學生對「互動說」的興趣較高昂,過程中可以互相討論、提攜,使得活動表現普遍提升,所以與學習成效無顯著相關。本研究更進一步的發現「動畫使用量」會顯著影響兩種不同活動類型的表現,進而與「學習成效」相關,顯示動畫確實對國小學生之英語學習有所幫助。The General Guidelines of Grade 1-9 Curriculum of Elementary and Junior High School Education of the Ministry of Education emphasis that the goal of Elementary and Junior High School is to culture students basic English communication skills, to use in the real world, instead of the goal of careers in the past. However, in Taiwan, English is a Foreign Language, students’ lack of the environment to speaking English. The elementary class size is too large, too. It's difficult for the teacher to improve students' speaking ability. Therefore, we design two kinds of learning activities, individual speaking and interactive speaking, and a system to promote students speaking ability. We hope that making animation by students themselves can improve students' learning motivation. After experiment the result showed that ”individual speaking” will strongly effect the learning achievement, because in this activity students will think by themselves; students have more interesting on “interactive speaking”, they can ask their partner, every student perform better. In the future, the use of animation will strongly effect the performance, and have relationship with learning achievement, encourage students to learn much better in English speaking effectively.
