;As the concept of environmental sustainability progresses, investors are increasingly focusing on corporate ESG performance, leading to the launch of numerous ESG-related index funds (ETFs) on the market. In early 2020, COVID-19 ravaged the globe, severely impacting the global economy and even causing economic stagnation. Taiwan was not spared, with the TAIEX plummeting by nearly 30%. This study investigates the phenomenon, examining whether corporate ESG performance during the COVID-19 period affects stock price resilience. The data were sourced from the Taiwan Economic Journal (TEJ) database, with ESG scores also obtained through TEJ using a comprehensive database combined with quantitative calculations. This study focuses on four major industries: semiconductor, food industry, tourism, and finance, encompassing a total of 230 companies. Quantitative research methods and regression models were employed for empirical analysis to observe and analyze the impact of ESG on corporate stock price resilience and its correlation with corporate financial performance.
