;This thesis extensively investigates the competitive behavior, innovation strategies, and future directions of Taiwan′s electric scooter industry. As a promising green transportation option, electric scooters have gained increasing attention from consumers and governments due to environmental and sustainable development policies. The thesis adopts the "Structure-Conduct-Performance" (S-C-P) model from industrial economics to analyze the market structure, firm behavior, and their impact on industry performance. It also examines factors influencing electric scooter purchase decisions using a logistic regression model. The thesis examines the fundamental conditions of the electric scooter industry, including technological development, market demand, and government policies. Through market competition analysis, it explores different firms′ strategic choices and competitive behaviors, analyzing their effects on market share and profitability. Additionally, the study delves into various government policies and subsidies aimed at promoting the widespread adoption of electric scooters, such as subsidy policies, charging infrastructure development, and environmental regulations. It evaluates the long-term impacts of these policies on industry structure and market dynamics. Despite the relatively high initial purchase costs of electric scooters, their environmental advantages attract consumers with higher income and education levels. These consumers prioritize long-term economic and environmental benefits, emphasizing the advantages of electric scooters in these aspects. Manufacturers must cater to genuine consumer needs and target markets to stimulate demand for electric scooters effectively. The thesis provides insights into competitive behavior and market development in the electric scooter industry, offering specific recommendations for governments and businesses to formulate strategies. Looking forward, with technological advancements and evolving consumer demands, the electric scooter industry will face new opportunities and challenges. Therefore, continuous industry observation, analysis, and policy adjustments are crucial for achieving sustainable development in the electric scooter industry. |
