近年來太陽光電產業在台灣發展迅速,政府和民間企業不斷的大量投入,以及持續的擴產及提升技術,再加上台灣在半導體及面板產業有良好的製造經驗,2011年台灣太陽光電的產量已正式超越日本、德國及美國,是僅次於中國大陸位居全球第二大生產國家。現階段太陽光電產業有兩大挑戰,即電池的光轉換效率提升及生產成本的降低,為達此目的,台灣的太陽能廠商無不積極加強與上下游的供應鏈策略聯盟,或加強本身垂直整合的能力,以維持其競爭優勢。 本論文主旨在探討台灣太陽能產業垂直整合之研究,在文獻的部份,主要是探討全球太陽光電產業的概況及台灣產業供應鏈、垂直整合策略的分析;個案研究的部分,是以國內太陽能電池大廠A公司為個案研究對象,介紹公司垂直整合的歷程與策略,再以微笑曲線、SWOT分析以及針對個案公司人員進行垂直整合優缺點的問卷調查來分析其競爭優勢,以提供未來台灣太陽能廠進行垂直整合策略的參考依據。In recent years, the photovoltaic industry has a significant development in Taiwan. The government and private companies continued to invest this industry including the firm expansion and technological upgrading. Due to the well-developed industry structure including the semiconductor and TFT LCD industry, the output value of Taiwan Photovoltaic industry has overtaken those in Japan, Germany and the United States, became the second largest producing countries in the world after China in 2011. The photovoltaic industry currently faces two major challenges that how to promote cell conversion efficiency and reduce production costs. To achieve this goal, the photovoltaic manufacturers are actively with upstream and downstream strategic alliances or to enhance its vertical integration the ability to maintain their competitive advantage. This paper is to investigate the vertical integration of the photovoltaic industry in Taiwan. We start to discuss an overview of the global photovoltaic industry and the industry supply chain in Taiwan. Furthermore, we review the advantages and disadvantages based on the theories including the smile curve, SWOT analysis, and the vertical integration strategy analysis. We then choose a Taiwan solar cell company as an example to discuss the potential development strategies. Finally, we design a questionaire to collect the opions from the managers of the studied firm. Our results provide a useful information especially related to adopt the vertical integration strategy for the future development of photovoltaic company in Taiwan.
