    Abstract: 本論文研究台灣網路電話製造業,從論述中可瞭解網路電話產業的沿革、瞭解當前台灣網路電話製造業及特性、瞭解網通(Datacom)製造業者及電信(Telecom)製造業者進入網路電話製造業的營運模式,且在論文最後就網路電話的未來發展趨勢,對個案廠商提出在企業政策上的建議。
    ;This thesis intends to research on the VoIP manufacturing industry in Taiwan. Through this thesis, we are able to realize the development of VoIP, the manufacturers in Taiwan and their properties. Moreover, the business mode of Datacom corporations and Telecom corporations’ entering the VoIP manufacturing industry are also looked into. In the end of this thesis, for the future trend of the development of VoIP, some suggestions are also offered.
    I study with indistry-matrix-method and the study contains two parts: first, the analysis of VoIP manufacturing industry, including the industry environments, its development, the business flow and the future trend. second, the analysis of indicated companies, inclusive of their development, their histories of strategy, and their strategy consideration. The purpose of thies reseach is to find out the successful business strategies of this industry and to propose to VoIP manufacutrers some suggestions for their stragtegy decision.
    This thesis discovers some items for business reference: 1) VoIP manufacturers should be deeply involved in communication protocol and acoustic quality so that it will lead to products of high quality and thus the company is able to exist, make a profit and grow. 2) The enterprises users are still the target market. 3) VoIP industry is in the growth phase of industry life cycle. As a result, if the manufacturers want to make good products, they need to integrate their customers in order to gain the cooperation of Telephone companies or to integrate the IC makers to approach win-win reciprocal. 4) The KSF of VoIP is scale economy, the manufacturers should approach it and entry the virtuous circle of scale economy v.s. cost down. 5) For cost leadership, establishing factories in low-cost location such as Mailnad China is the crucial business strategy.
    There are many related researches in VoIP. This thesis is the first time to introduce Taiwanese VoIP manufacturing industry in detail by industry-matrix- method.
