    摘要: ODM 業務模式目前是非常流行於各個產業. ODM 業務模式的優點是讓公司藉著委託供應商做產品設計和製造而省下內部資源. 本篇論文將研究ODM 業務模式的產品開發的三個主題. 第一個研究主題是“a concurrent function deployment-based and concurrent engineering-based product development method for ODM companies”.為了平衡公司有限的資源而能夠早點推出新產品, 委外代工(outsourcing)已成為一種更需要的方法.而ODM 目前是一種便利和省成本的生產方式,其藉著委外供應商來完成產品設計和製造. 第一個研究主題的目的是提供一個以同步機能展開(Concurrent Function Deployment)和同步工程為基礎的產品開發方法 來協助ODM公司執行產品開發.三個臺灣液晶電視製造商接受本研究以便制定此產品開發方法.本研究也提供一個例子以顯示此產品開發方法的實際應用. 第二個研究主題是“a QFD-, concurrent engineering- and target costing-based methodology for ODM companies to formulate RFQs”. ODM 公司製作RFQ流程所遭遇的問題是他們並沒有一個有效的方法去製作精確和可獲利的RFQ. 第二個研究主題的目的是提供一個以QFD, 同步工程 和目標成本 (target costing)為基礎的方法讓ODM公司製作精確和可獲利的RFQ. 來自八家台灣電子公司的十五名員工接受本研究深度訪談以便了解他們現有RFQs 製作方法及問題.基於這些訪談的結果,本研究使用QFD, 同步工程 和目標成本 (target costing)來製作此推薦的方法. 本研究提供一個個案研究來舉例本推薦方法的成功應用. 本個案研究顯示本推薦方法是一個有效的方法能讓個案公司去製作精確和可獲利的RFQ. 第三個研究主題是“a QFD- and concurrent engineering-Based outsourced product development methodology for ODM customers”.目前ODM 顧客並沒有使用專屬的產品開發方法去執行委外代工, 而只是使用原本內部的產品開發方法,因而導致產品品質不良以及開發時程延後.因此為了使ODM委外代工業務能夠成功, 一個專屬的產品開發方法讓ODM 顧客與ODM 供應商共同開發產品是需要的. 第三個研究主題的目的是提供一個以QFD和 同步工程為基礎委外產品開發方法讓ODM 顧客使用以代替原本內部的產品開發方法. 來自九家台灣電子公司的十五名員工接受本研究深度訪談以便了解他們現有委外產品開發方法及問題.這些訪談的結果是用來協助製作本研究推薦的方法. 本研究提供三個個案公司成功使用本推薦方法的個案研究以顯示本推薦方法是有效的. The ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) business model has been quite popular among industries. The advantage of the ODM business model is that companies can save in-house resources by means of commissioning product design and manufacturing to selected ODM suppliers. In this thesis, three topics of product development of Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) business are studied. The first research topic is “a concurrent function deployment-based and concurrent engineering-based product development method for ODM companies”. In order to launch products earlier while balancing limited company resources, outsourcing is becoming more and more of a necessary alternative. Currently, Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) is a convenient and potentially cost-effective production option, where outsourced suppliers are contracted to handle product design and manufacturing. For product suppliers, procuring ODM business will increase sales and boost revenue. The purpose of the first research topic is to propose a product development method based on Concurrent Function Deployment (CFD) and concurrent engineering (CE) to assist ODM companies in generating detailed proposals and in carrying out product development. With this method, ODM companies can engage in and effectively complete ODM projects, and, most importantly, meet customer’s requirements: high quality, low cost and time-to-market. Three Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) television design and manufacturing companies in Taiwan will be investigated to formulate this method. An example is shown in this study in order to present its application in a real-life setting. The second research topic is “a QFD-, concurrent engineering- and target costing-based methodology for ODM companies to formulate RFQs”. The problem that ODM companies encounter with the RFQ (Request For Quotation) process is that there is no effective and efficient methodology for them to formulate accurate and profitable RFQs. The purpose of the second research topic is to propose a QFD-, concurrent engineering-, and target costing-based methodology for ODM companies to formulate accurate and profitable RFQs. Fifteen people from eight Taiwan electronics ODM companies are interviewed in order to understand their current methods for formulating RFQs and the problems of these methods. Based on the interview results, we decide to make use of the merits of QFD, concurrent engineering, and target costing by integrating them into the proposed methodology. A case study is presented to illustrate a successful application of the proposed methodology in a case company. The case study shows integrating QFD, concurrent engineering, and target costing into the proposed methodology allows us to effectively and efficiently formulate an accurate and profitable RFQ for the case company. The third research topic is “a QFD- and concurrent engineering-Based outsourced product development methodology for ODM customers”. The ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) outsourcing business model has been quite prevalent in the world. Yet, many ODM customers do not use dedicated product development methodologies to execute ODM outsourcing; rather they use their in-house product development methodology to conduct ODM outsourced product development, which leads to serious quality issues and schedule delays during the product development process. Therefore, in order for ODM outsourcing business to be successful, a dedicated product development methodology is necessary for ODM customers to use in developing products with their ODM suppliers. The objective of the third research topic is to propose a QFD- and concurrent engineering-based outsourced product development methodology for ODM customers to use in their ODM outsourcing, instead of using their current in-house product development methodology. Fifteen people from nine Taiwanese electronic companies are interviewed regarding their ODM outsourced product development process. Findings from these interviews are used to develop the proposed methodology. Three case studies are presented to illustrate the successful application of the proposed methodology. These case studies show the proposed methodology is a useful methodology, as based on the successful completion of the projects wherein it was implemented.
