(Software as a Service, SaaS)開始受到了企業主的關注。 Firms rely on application software to help with their daily operations, which is one of the most obvious characteristics of e-business. However, such firms have encountered some serious problems while using such software, such as budget overruns, implement delays and poor fit with business requirements. Therefore, it is valuable to simplify business software for business owners. As computer hardware technology and network infrastructure have matured and computer usage has evolved, Cloud Technology has become a new solution, and software as a service (SaaS) has thus become a concern of business owners. With regard to the development and forecast of the SaaS market, many international firms (Google, Oracle, SAP, HP, Microsoft, Salesforce) have also introduced a variety of Cloud-based products to replace the traditional use of software. However, when reviewing some successful cases of these firms, we found that no Taiwanese firms have adopted such products. This kind of phenomenon is worrisome regardless of whether it is because Taiwanese firms have fallen behind the global business competition, are discouraged from adopting new technology, or have a distinct view on Cloud Technology. This research examines Taiwanese firms’ actual points of view on SaaS through surveying firms experienced in information systems about the characteristics of SaaS to determine the intention to adopt. This research integrates the characteristics of SaaS and discusses four variables: Benefit, Job Support, Risk and Integration. Each variable includes several important factors. In this research, we hope to understand the point of view of Taiwanese firms with respect to SaaS. After conducting the surveys, we expect to encourage firms to adopt SaaS through its variable design and to provide an appropriate explanation of why Taiwanese firms have a poor adoption of SaaS. Therefore, this research builds up a moderator model not only to study the influence of the four variables on the intention to adopt but also to analyze the interactions and influences among the four variables. It also models a change in the intention of firms to adopt SaaS by adjusting the mediator model. This kind of research design can enhance the modeling of the change of intention of Taiwanese firms to adopt SaaS and denote the possible factors behind poor adoption of SaaS. The results show that the intention of Taiwanese firms to adopt SaaS obviously improves after adjusting the moderator and mediator variables. First, Benefit and Job Support can enhance the intention of adoption, yet Risk and Integration Problem will reduce the intention of adoption. Second, Risk will interfere the relationship of Benefit and Job Support to the intention of adoption. Third, through Benefit and Job Support can mediate the relationship between Integration and intention of adoption. This kind of result explains the bottleneck we faced when promoting SaaS currently, that is, we usually consider Benefit, Job Support, Integration and Risk variables in the same level. Base on the result of this research, we should not only improve the intention of adoption by mediation model, but also have security training against users’ using habits during promoting SaaS in the future. |
