An individual’s intent to leave the current organization can result from organizational and individual factors. The objective of this present research was to explore if entrepreneurial intentions can mediate the impacts of organizational and individual factors on turnover intentions in Vietnamese context. The organizational factors studied in this study were P-O misfit, organizational commitment, and the individual factors included proactive personality and openness to experience. Using a sample of 212 participants from various occupations in Vietnam, hierarchical mediated regression revealed that entrepreneurial intentions fully mediated the openness to experience and turnover intentions relationship. The finding also provides additional insight into the theoretical implications of the potential mediating role of entrepreneurial intentions. Moreover, practical implications for entrepreneurship education and internal entrepreneurship were discussed. Future research should examine the validity and generalization of the effect in a diverse set of contexts.
